Vabianna Santos’ work has been described as terrifying, meditative, earnest and utterly lucid.

S(he) has exhibited and performed nationally, showing at MOCA North Miami, Vox Populi, and Headlands Center for the Arts. (He)r work has been reviewed in WhiteHot Magazine of Contemporary Art. S(he) attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2013.

(He)r work manipulates sensory reactions through systems of display and seductive materiality. S(he) indulges in willful contradiction- constructing refined visual paradoxes while crassly adapting metaphysical themes. The work re-imagines social interactions to question how we perform empathy and power.
